Iceberg

Lettuce is an angiosperm, dicotyledonous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is often and erroneously called a salad, being often part of or main ingredient of the homonymous dish. It is a two-year species, the first year forms a rosette, the second the floral scape. The root system is composed of short taproot and superficial, thin and fleshy roots. The basal leaves are of various shapes, ovate or elongated, and green or reddish in color; they form a more or less compact “head” or “head”.
