Cucumbers

Cucumber is a vegetable belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family, originally from India. It is a creeping or climbing plant (if it finds some supports on which to grow), to which it attacks through the cirri produced by the stems and branches. Its quadrangular stem is hairy ribbed. The leaves, rather large and rough, are palmate-lobed, with long petiole, dark green. The plant blooms with five lobed yellow flowers. The fruit is a pulpy berry rich in water.
